Recent work: All Day Anderson for Robert Thompson
When I started out in food filmmaking, Robert Thompson was top of my list of chefs to work with, so I was delighted when he got in touch. We started working together on a retainer in June 2025. That August I pitched him my most ambitious food film yet: a Wes Anderson-inspired film showing that his restaurant, RT Cafe Grill, could host someone for an entire day, with three models enjoying the food.
Rob told me to make it happen. Once it was edited, the film performed twice as well as anything else we had put out, and All Day Anderson is now a yearly event. Read the All Day Anderson story.
I have also filmed a whole menu and a set of staff training videos for The Hut, and the Cleaver Club dining event at Harvey Browns, for staff training and social media.
Plenty of chefs and front-of-house teams are not used to being on camera. Here is what one client said about that:
“My first photoshoot was with Reuben. I was pretty nervous about it, but instantly upon meeting him I felt relaxed and had an absolute blast during the shoot, and the pictures turned out incredible. I’ve had multiple photo and video shoots with him since and cannot recommend him highly enough. He knows how to capture moments and make people feel at ease, so the pictures look authentic. His skill and expertise shine through his work.”

Prices
- £90 per hour: me on my own, filming video, photos or both
- £100 per hour: hybrid shooting, with a dedicated photographer alongside me
- Retainer: regular content at rates that come down considerably. Build an estimate with the retainer calculator.
Most venues need fresh content all year round. A retainer gives you priority booking, faster turnarounds, a consistent look across everything you post, and a planned content calendar shot in efficient batches. If you would rather have a fixed price for one project, I will quote it from the hourly rates. See all services and prices.
How it works

- We agree the budget, date and timeline in writing.
- I film on the day, with lighting and audio set up where needed.
- I edit, colour grade and deliver, usually within 2 to 3 weeks.
Questions
What sort of video does a restaurant need?
It depends on your goal. Short films for social media keep your feed fresh, a menu film shows what you serve, and training videos help new staff learn your dishes. We will work out the right mix on our discovery call.
How much does restaurant video cost on the Isle of Wight?
Filming is £90 per hour with me on my own, or £100 per hour for hybrid photo and video with a dedicated photographer. A retainer brings the rate down considerably if you film regularly.
Can you make staff training videos?
Yes. I have filmed full menus and training videos for The Hut and for Harvey Browns, recording how each dish is prepared and presented so new team members can learn it.
How quickly can I post the videos?
Most shoots are delivered within 2 to 3 weeks. Express turnarounds of 24 to 72 hours are available for campaigns where speed matters.
Can you film for us all year round?
Yes, that is what a retainer is for. Robert Thompson and I have worked together on a retainer since June 2025, and we keep taking on more projects together.
Is music included?
Music licensing is included on hybrid shoots.
